Las Vegas to temporarily close 8 streets in downtown, testing future project

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The City of Las Vegas and the Nevada Department of Transportation will close eight city streets near downtown from Mar. 8 through Apr. 12 to prepare for the possible Downtown Access Project.

"These street closures draw attention to proposed permanent closures," state transportation officials said Monday afternoon. "The temporary street closures include 7th, 8th, 10th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 19th, and 21st streets at Interstate 515. There are three design alternatives being evaluated and each of these streets are proposed for possible closure."

From Mar. 8 to Mar. 28, the streets will be partially closed. From Mar. 29 to Apr. 12, they will be fully closed.
